Lauralea Bruton is a dedicated Grade 2 teacher at Hanover Heights and a proud, busy mom of three young children. Adored by her students and respected by her colleagues, Lauralea brings warmth, creativity, and boundless energy to everything she does. A former Hanover Fall Fair Ambassador, she shares her enthusiasm for community traditions by involving the school in the Fall Fair each year. Lauralea takes on an impressive number of responsibilities beyond the classroom, helping to organize the school’s holiday concert, monthly assemblies, and special events with remarkable ease and grace—making complex logistics for an audience of 400 seem effortless. She has coordinated memorable visits, such as the JDSS band performance, and infuses holiday spirit by planning the door decorating contest and creating student artwork for the concert. Lauralea also led the creation of a stunning school-wide mural for Education Week and played a key role in the beloved “Hanover Heights Has Talent” showcase, which brought joy to the entire school community.
As an educator, Lauralea is exceptional. She delivers engaging lessons and creative projects, ensuring every student feels seen, valued, and supported. She also manages the organization of primary lunch monitors, ensuring students are safely supervised. A true team player, Lauralea fosters a festive, welcoming atmosphere through every initiative she touches. Hanover Heights simply wouldn’t be the same without her passion, leadership, and heartfelt dedication. Thank you, Lauralea, for the incredible impact you make on our students, staff, and school community—we’re so fortunate you chose to teach here.
