Kathy Bauman, our remarkable Grade 1 teacher at Hanover Heights, brings warmth, creativity, and dedication to everything she does. A passionate lover of music and drama, Kathy ensures every child is seen, heard, and celebrated for who they are and what they bring to the classroom. Her nurturing spirit shines through in the unique experiences she offers her students—hatching chicks, growing space tomatoes, and visiting the Safety Village—turning learning into a magical adventure. Beyond her classroom, Kathy plays a vital role in our school community as a staff representative on Safe Schools and School Council, our Equity and Diversity lead, a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee, and a key supporter of initiatives like St. John’s Therapy Dogs and Roots of Empathy. Always seeking growth, Kathy embraces professional development, both as a participant and a leader—running sessions, proposing book studies, and securing exciting new resources for her classroom. She commits herself fully to new programs and ensures our Lexia lab is ready for all students each day. Her gentle, generous heart touches every part of Hanover Heights, and we are truly fortunate to have her guiding and inspiring our youngest learners.
