Teacher Brittney Beirnes

Brittney Beirnes is one of our outstanding Grade 6 teachers at Hanover Heights, known for creating an engaging, well-organized, and respectful learning environment for her students. With a natural take-charge personality, Brittney ensures her classroom runs smoothly while instilling responsibility and leadership in her students, who are regularly involved in school activities like milk duty, bus evacuation drills, buddy programs, candy kabobs, and skating. A devoted mother to two wonderful boys who also attend Hanover Heights, Brittney balances her family life with an incredible commitment to school life. She plays a vital role in numerous events and initiatives, including Grandpals, volleyball, cross country, track and field, speeches, skating, the Grade 6 Celebration, EQAO preparation, and maintaining the gym storage room. Brittney also takes the lead on special events such as organizing Remembrance Day ceremonies, the Legion writing and poster contests, and a staff cookie exchange at Christmas. She holds World Diabetes Day close to her heart and ensures it is meaningfully recognized. No matter how full her schedule, Brittney is always willing to help wherever she is needed, never hesitating to lend her time or expertise. Constantly learning and generously sharing her knowledge with colleagues, Brittney embodies dedication, energy, and heart. Anyone lucky enough to have Mrs. Beirnes as a teacher is guaranteed a memorable, enriching school year, and we are truly fortunate to have her as part of the Hanover Heights team.
